More than 84,000 delegates attended COP28 in Dubai, making it the biggest and most inclusive global climate meeting so far – and the first to explicitly agree a ‘transition away’ from fossil fuels. Underpinning this historic deal are commitments to deep emission cuts, to tripling renewables and nuclear capacity, as well as scaled-up investment into low-carbon technologies such as hydrogen and carbon capture.
